The Rebuilding of St. Mary's Polish Church

Here is an update from Tom Urbaniak about the reconstruction of the Polish church in Whitney Pier:

February 29th, 2016

St. Mary's Polish Church cross being installed on the steeple.                                                                             NSCC students who worked on the cross.

Dear Friends:

Here is an image of the cross being lifted and installed onto the steeple of St. Mary’s Polish Church this morning (photo by Sajive Kocchar).
And a photo of the students from Nova Scotia Community College – Marconi Campus who made the cross, who were on site today (photo by Howie Doiron).
This is a link to a YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXrfiEv9eps&feature=youtu.be. For shorter viewing, I would recommend starting at about the eight-minute mark.
A lot of construction work is continuing inside, with much effort in the weeks and months ahead as the rebuilding continues. But the church feels whole now.
The cross exceeded expectations, and we are very grateful to the students! They have left a special legacy.

Bóg zapłać,
